The Congo is full of Ebola.... civil war... gangland violence... slave labour(hey maybe this is why the Cobalt miners love it?)... unstable government... famine... environmental disaster cobalt mines... and it is also the supplier of 70% of the worlds cobalt supplies.

IF you were going to pick the worst place to have a steady worldwide supply of cobalt... this would be it.

Cobalt will continue to be cheap while it flows out of the Congo via it's slave labour and dirty mine practices, but watch what happens to the price when supply gets cut off because it becomes too dangerous to mine there... it'll be like Saudi Arabia turning off the oil tap.
