I agree Pinto that charts are a great picture of what is going on with the market in general and with individual shares, however just like a fortune teller they cannot tell you what is going to happen in the future. So I'm with Ed on this one - I dont believe in fairies and I dont believe in what chartists say. Sure when the market is going gangbusters chartists will say things are trending up and make preditctions on where it is going. Likewise when the bears are out, they start saying it is trending down and support should be at X but if it breaks that then support will be at Y.

My preference is reading opinions of analysts and making up my mind which one makes the most sense. Goode predicting that the half yearlys in Feb will be better and make the market move I take notice of. That is why I continue to hold FML because I believe the money they have invested in mines, exploration and production will reap returns and that a 17cent prediction isn't as far fetched as a trend line and a triple pitchfork.
