More than 2,700 years ago an inspired historian reached the conclusion that man is incapable of reaching high ideals apart from God.
(Jeremiah 10:23) I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.
He identified the root of the problem as being the inherent wickedness from within.
(Jeremiah 17:9) The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?
To correct the matter will first require the elimination of the wicked.
(Proverbs 2:22) As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, And the treacherous will be torn away from it.
Only then will peace be attainable.
(Psalm 37:11) But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
