I don't think the capital size is really the only factor here.

I live in canada and travel the USA frequently and nobody has ever spoken of, or I've never seen any use of klarna here.

Afterpay is literal and easy to understand and when I went back to Australia I actually thought it was a bank added feature it was in so many places.

I didn't realise what it was until I found it on here. Afterpay is literally what the Americans are looking for.

I think the biggest risks are that it doesn't make a big enough impact quick enough and that amazon or some other tech company steals with a name like paylate or laterpay which is also literal and easy to understand and comes with a familiar logo.
