    Sorry, all your comparisons are false equivalences.
    We are not talking about votes or cents but the amount of GHG in the atmosphere and the reaction of Nature which is based on quantity not human morality.
    The previous unified actions you mention were a different kettle of fish with little impact on society.

    That's a more reasonable statement. However, as pointed out by others as well, no reduction that Australia makes will significantly alter the current climate trajectory. Depending of course on your definition of significant.

    Certainly it is just not true to call Australia's a "large share of the burden".
    Unfortunately that's not an opinion it's just "the science".

    Perhaps Australia should spend it's emissions reduction budget on bribing and lobbying the major emitters to take the action that alone will make any significant difference to global emissions !
