i don't have numbers, but when we you walk around Berlin and see the constructions sides, they very often don't work with mortar but with glue. Wienerberger has its own glue for their products, so I guess it depends on the bricks that are used. But you can find glues for bricks in shops here.
Why should there be any problem? We are using glue in skyscrapers, cars, ships, even planes but for bricks it should be impossible?
