Potash prices: I posted this last week on RWD; $US1,000/ton is already being achieved in 2008:

"I see there have been SOP sales at the $A1,375 CFR level from Europe to Brazil, and MOP sales into Asia at $US1,000 CFR ($A1,050). Also ScotiaBank 19 June 2008 Commodities Report reckons granular MOP at $US1,000 is the new price level into Brazil from August 2008 and that this price level is easily affordable for farmers. They say that at this level, potash is 3.6% of corn revenue when corn is $US7/bushel, and 140 bushels per acre and 35kg of MOP per acre."
