I certainly didn't expect the results for Fragile X to come in this early and to be so positive. Really caught me by surprise. That kind of preclinical result in a validated mouse model with a molecule about to be in the clinic where “the big boys” are already running Phase II and III trials is a potential game-changer.
Agree, this is just the tip of the iceberg for NNZ-2566. As I have posted numerous times, some companies have a pipeline of drugs; Neuren has a pipeline in a drug. Pretty exciting stuff isn't it? But, one step at a time, we're not quite there yet, but it sure is looking promising to date.
As you have highlighted, it has certainly been a momentous year of development for NNZ-2566 and I expect we'll be seeing a lot more positive data as we move forward in 2013.
Roche will be but one Big Pharma attracted by the opportunity to partner an emerging biotech with an exciting evolving science.
