Apparently, global leaders aren't worth what they used to be. At $27m Phylogica looks a tad undervalued.
Its not as if the field of intracellular drug delivery is unimportant. Big Pharma and most biologic companies have been chasing the intracellular space for decades. One could only think that if Peptidream had made the announcement, shareholders would have little change from $2B.
Of course its all about the credibility of the claims and the credibility of management. The potential to make 'existing major drug treatments 25-50 times more effective' may do a lot to change perceptions.
