global perspectives on manganese

An article with global perspectives on manganese and the lengths that buyers will go to, to guarantee supply certainty.

A long and challenging article to read, but stick with it. The second half zeroes in on OM Holdings, 11% shareholder of SRR.

The reportage gives an insight into the inner mechanics of their share registry and questions any bias that may exist in favour of manganese buyers. A listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is being touted for OM Holdings.

Implications for Shaw River? Thoughts are welcome.

Personally, the article reinforces global demand for manganese and the lengths that buyers will go to for guaranteed supply. Keeping in mind that the Shaw River product will be of high quality, adding an additional permium.

OM Holdings have provided strong support of the Shaw River manganese strategy to date. A Hong Kong listing may open up new opportunities for Shaw River and connections to buyers?

However, if questions are being asked about the OM Holdings share registry by ASIC and others, it is an issue that we will want to follow closely. Shaw River Resources is undoubtedly on the radar for those entities who would like to increase their exposure to manganese and an inevitable takeover target.

At this stage, I feel more comfortable with Atlas Iron being the larger majority shareholder of SRR at 45.42%.
