Green power needs subsidies to survive presently and even with river of green gold power prices have risen substantially driving manufacturing offshore to cheap power havens. Climate policies dictate that we should close power stations in Aus but ship coal internationally so our economic competitors have access to cheap power. We are barking up the wrong tree when we produce less than 1% of the world pollution. sanctions against China until they reduce their carbon footprint would be far greater environmentally (not economically)Than punishing 26 million people in Aus where more pollution comes from cow farts than heavy industries.
