Thank you for your candid response. The containment vessel to store pressurised hydrogen is 55 times heavier that the fuel. Storing as a metal hydride is 14 times the weight of storage vs fuel. This makes hydrogen one of the lowest energy density fuels available unless you store it as a liquid at -252.87°C in which case it is roughly 25% of the energy density/litre with diesel.
When converting green electricity to hydrogen and then back you get around 40% of the power you put in back out. Lithium Ion batteries are 90% efficient.
The maths does not work.
