They are predatory and opportunistic. (I have never been on the receiving end of a takeover where the PRICE is reduced. Figure that !). As I maintained, the GE takeover of IDL was an excellnent example where GE paid the agreed bid price even all mininng services companies had their SP absolutley DESTROYED through the takeover period.
The Americans and Japanese have ethics. What you see is what you get. with the Chinese, it's a roll of the dice at best or it's like a box of chocolates - you never know what you are going to get.
HanLong's case is not helped by Merrill Lynch whose only concern is their X'mas bonuses. They appear to have convinced HL to waive the N-S-N-T condition.
