Serioulsy though, the discussion about carbon footprint is so often (always?) silo'd into traditioanl thinking. THe true carbon foot print of coal export MUST take into account the carbon required to produce steel rails, loco's wagons, shipping etc etc. Only then do we get an idea of the treu environmental benefot of UCG besides the fact that its far more environmentally friendly EVEN if u dont take tha above into account. Incredible really when you think it through.
