Why is it that so many people think that they are better informed than the majority of climate scientists? These guys are clever, they understand about changing solar output and ocean currents, and take these things into account.

What does big business possibly have to gain from a carbon credit system? In fact big business is generally very much against the proposal. The same goes for the scientist funding argument - scientists working for big businesses (e.g. Rio Tinto's chief scientist who was recently arguing against Carbon credits) are far better remunerated than university researchers.
