    I too watched qanda last night. I too did not see Jenifer Marohasy as particularly effective advocate against the "dangerous"AGW hypothesis.

    One thing which did get up my goat a bit (initially stated by Greg Hunt) and either repeated or assented by the others on the panel, is that the whole issue is one of personal belief, and you are free to somehow.

    BB, even though we disagree in emphasis/implications in parts of the science, I think we would both agree that establishing the objective scientific facts where possible is critical. Anyone's belief, pro or con, is of no relevance. It is the antithesis of empirical scientific method to apply belief, or pre-conceived notions, as thought it is a matter of personal choice....which is why the whole debate is bogged down now in a morass of ideology I suspect. Personal belief can and should go to hell - objective evidence is key.

    Having said that about Greg Hunt, after that, I found him articulate, well informed, and quite cogent.
