I found HC44 post quite useful because while I am not deep into the physics of how co2 traps heat it was not intuitively obvious to me how a small amount of co2 could have a major effect
However,the Science is backed by measurement and evidence meant I had no doubt it was true - nevertheless the intuition was not there.
But HC44 lead to a "penny drop" moment Of course with radiation having to pass thru many kms of atmosphere even a trace amount of a diffuse deflecting gas would have a major effect because it may not hit any molecules in the 1st metre or the next - but certainly has a good chance at being deflected before leaving the atmosphere.
