I was surprised that Chalmers was asked by Speers on Insiders about a "universal basic wage"... but I don't recall his answer....
but yes UBI is going to need a lot of nutting out and would be best done by non-partisan economists (if there is such a thing )
and AI developments, robotics and other technical advances are going to become a genuine need before long.
BUT global warming is a major threat and the effects (climate change), with increasing severity and frequency, are in line with the physics understanding of atmospheric and ocean warming.
this makes global warming the most significant issue at present.
