And the thing is CO2 is an insignificant green house gas, if at all!!!!!!! They are having everyone on!

What is so magic about CO2 that isn't about O2 or N2.

Water vapour has the greatest impact on warming, particularly of a night, because it traps the long wave radiation escaping into outer space. It acts like a glasshouse. The glass in a glasshouse allows heat in the form of short wave radiation to pass through but later when that heat wants to escape it can't because the long wave radiation form that it is in can't penetrate the glass and hence the overall benefit of a glasshouse!

That is precisely what happens at night when you have cloud cover, it traps the long wave radiation trying to escape. CO2 can't do that and that is why during winter in frost prone areas you get frosts on a clear, still night. If there were just a wisp of cloud cover that would be sufficient to prevent a frost from occurring.

It is pretty straight forward for most of us, except for those believers in fairies at the bottom of the garden. Unfortunately, there are some about and you can't convince them. I've tried!!!!
