I was responding to an isolated temperature record.
If someone posts 'it was the hottest day ever in June in Las Vegas', I naturally look at the official records and summarized, yes it is a new record. Then I take that new piece of information and look at the other month's record temperature for the same station. Only one other month was in that last 3 decades and 3 months have a record temperature in 1910.
I conclude that the new record in June for Las Vegas does not, in isolation, advance the AGW argument.
I thought a simple chart of the records for Las Vegas would be of interest to readers of the thread.
Don't see how that is cherry picking, same station, just looked at the records for other months.

A meaningful discussion on temperature trends and man-made CO2 influence would take a very long time due to complexity (time period chosen, methodology, land/sea/both, etc). Sea level is much more straightforward but even here I have a lot more reading to do before making my mind up on the evidence.
Maybe a little less emotion would help your line of reasoning.
