Sp is always manipulated by someone, so what's new? The globalsat deal might bring sp up by 1-3 cents, then wait for 31st May, the escrowed shares will flood the market and pull the share price down again. In the short term, the only $$$ are made by the Day Traders who play for pips. Sp hit 10c today, it might start dipping into single digits, not a bad time to buy. $15k will now buy you 150000 shares, if you participated in recent SPP, you are holding 125000 shares. Ouch... Guess more overtime is required at work.
You are right, it will take 2-3 years to see a real profit for retail investors like us. I've already lost 35% of my sas share value, I can wait for 3 years, no problems there as I don't have a deadline to meet like traders.
