If GBE were thinking about doing it anyway, great minds think alike. And if they are responsive to shareholders concerns and thought it was a good idea, then credit to them also. Monopolize, thank you for your efforts.
Funny thing about buybacks is that the simple act of announcing the intention to buyback shares is a share price catalyst in itself. As yet, (and pending the requisite approvals), GBE haven't bought back a single share. But the market has responded already, with greater investor interest and buying ahead of the buyback.
It just shows you how positively the market views such a move. Sometimes all the market needs is a little push to get it going in the right direction.
