you say that most people can work out the situation will get worse before it gets better. Much much worse.

yet you also go on to say...But the key question you have to ask is what are people doing to protect their remaining wealth?


If those same people are so clever to work out that the situation will get much much worse, then they should be smart enough to work out what to do to protect their remaining wealth. In fact such clever people should have seen what was going to happen years ago and avoided any loss at all.

I will tell you what will happen.
Most of what you set out in your thread will not transpire and life will go on. Many will end up scratching their heads and left wondering what all the commotion was about. In fact those same many people will be hitting themselves for not continuing with the various wealth creation strategies and for cowering under their beds. They will continue to whine as their wealth in real terms declines because of their self imposed inaction. On the other hand, those few who do the opposite, will flourish. That is called the economics of reality.
