Completely right. Thats how all of the most successful fast food franchises make the big money.

When McDonalds started they were selling milkshakes with real milk like everybody else. They discovered they have could make them using a powered chemical solution instead which was a faction of the price and people were still happy to buy them. Its wasn't authentic but looked close enough and cheap enough that most didn't care.

Same with chicken nuggets, burgers etc and they sell endless billions of them. Authentic has nothing to do with it.

The secret of fast food is CHEAP and convenient. Load it with salt, far and sweetener for instant gratification so flavor matters less. A little disguise to help the patron pretend that its exotic or real food helps people to forget that it really is.

I offer no view on GyG as an investment but anybody who doesn't understand the fast food industry probably should be looking to invest elsewhere. Particularly those who think fast food should get Michelin Stars.
