[The Guru = Reporter Soyoung Oh] Samsung SDI will receive artificial graphite from Australian battery material company NOVONIX in earnest. With the first shipment of last month's supply, Samsung SDI will be able to actively respond to raw material demand that will surge due to future battery investment.
According to the industry on the 4th, Novonix first shipped artificial graphite last month, which it had decided to supply to Samsung SDI. The company plans to supply graphite several times over the next six months. The two companies joined hands at the end of last year. The contract quantity is 500 tons of artificial graphite. Samsung SDI was supposed to receive artificial graphite from Novonix from this month.
