I would have thought the demise of GM in the longterm was the best thing to happen to the marketplace. This relic of the past company is all about flashy, unneccesarily over-powered,over-priced and advertising-driven vehicles that no longer have a place in contemporary society. Smaller, less-powerful, no-frills, cheaper cars that will be coming out of China, India and Asia ARE the future. The guard has shifted from decadent America to the Mandarin-speaking part of the world; world markets, social orders and communities will simply have to re-ajust. George Dubya Nero can fiddle away all he likes....the PM speaks the language - time to follow suit. The world has changed; time to re-adjust focal lengths.
