Hi all,
Just got back from the General Meeting. All good news. I asked some specifics questions, and here are the (abridged) responses;
1. Environmental Approvals - yes, all of the turbulence in NZ has affected the timeline. HB pointed out that he would have liked to have made an announcement at today's meeting but now seems likely to occur in early June.
2. PRC - BTU did show interest in the wash plant and part of the rail line. However, after further consideration no action was taken in either of these areas. BTU is NOT, will not, and never has, taken any action towards acquiring any part of the PRC mine.
3. Further Off-take - word is that further off-take agreements are imminent.
4. Defense Advisor - not entirely accurate to say that BTU has a defense advisor (that was an AFR term apparently). UBS is the corporate advisor. No word from HB on any potential future acquisitions or take-overs.
Those were the high-level points from memory. If I remember anything else I will post again in this thread.
Cheers,
Ben
