Nonsense - SLR are a first class, back seat passenger at this stage, that doesn't have the financial firepower or street cred to "take over" RED, especially if its (obvious) intention is to merge with GMD - RED's BOD are NOT stupid or passive - the recent enhancements speak of ambitious plans for the future, and if a merger with GMD is inevitable (as I believe it is), then GMD and RED don't need a SLR middleman.
SLR could have stepped in when the SP was half present - they missed their chance, and in the meantime, their star has waned - very much yesterday's hero. SLR has been a gold producer since 2007 - never has, never will pay dividends and as no real growth prospects why hold ??
RED does NOT need SLR hence it should be held at arms length.
