At the end of the day. Shorters will do what shorters do. In VAU case shorts have been given a large target. RED was attractive the way it was prior to SLR merger. I had good hopes for both as separate entities moving forward. I have small free carried holding in both. VAU on the other hand is a bit of a dogs breakfast because the merger fog still hangs. I saw the same price weakness that happened after the NST SAR merger. VAU shareholders (me included) need to give their holding time for that merger fog to dissipate. This will also give BOD and management time to execute the synergies. VAU day in the sun will come.
Those who hate shorts will be pleased to know that many of the more famous ones have hanged up their boots. Hindenburg, Andrew Left and Jim Chanos etc.. Per Post #:77259257 any real shorters out there worth their weight in gold; those keep dirty directors on their toes lives a hard life. The other 99.99% of shorters out there are drop kicks compared to the names I've dropped on these boards. They just follow the shorting herd. The law of averages will catch up to them soon enough.
