As much as I would like to see a short squeeze. Recent data above does not support it having occurred on GMD. If there was a squeeze it would have occurred during the July 12 - 17 SP run. As we can see in the data provided, shorts actually increased. https://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt
Shorts are not scrambling on top of each other to close their positions. Which by definition is what a short squeeze is. Calling it a Short Squiz is being disingenuous. We on the long side should call things the way it is, else we are no better than the shorts who for the most part are nefarious in employing smoke and mirrors to shake weak hands.
What we need on the long side are shareholders with their heads screwed firmly. So call it the way it is based on the data at hand and not as we want them to be. Shorts will close their positions. soon enough....
