The incumbent politician will always hold out to the last possible date for an election if they are behind in the polls and call an early election if their party polling is showing a good chance of victory. Of course, they can get it wrong like Brexit! Also, noted a third of the poll respondents were undecided on 31st March, so maybe Kim has a good idea which way those undecideds will vote?
