I understand that you cannot claim it against dividends or personal income. You can "bank" the losses for future years so you can take short (and long) gains and know you will be paying 0% tax on these until you have used up your bank of losses. I personally find it far easier to make losses (NUF,MOF,BXB,CTN) than gains.
