Moped, MACD is pretty good. RSI also good but basically you need something that that shows extremes. If the market isn't at an extreme when the mav's cross then you probably shouldn't trade it. Having said that I have missed some nice moves.
Also the angle at which the MAV's cross makes a big difference to. Shallow angle = slow or small move. Steep angle = sharp or quick move
