GMO vs Organic: Australian Story

I'm generally a big fan of the ABC, but what a bulldust one-sided program. The entire show is about the poor little family farmers why can no longer sell their organic produce because big evil monsanto planted GMO crops nearby.

WHAT IS YOUR ARGUMENT!!!! They have no argument other than I can no longer sell as organic.....Thats not an argument, you are a farmer so farm. Is GMO proven to be safe? Yes. Ever proven to be unsafe? NO. So what is the problem? Why don't those who certify organic ignore whether there is GMO contamination or not, what does it matter? No discussion on any of these points, Just poor old farmer booo hooo better go to court for this is a fight for humanity.....? Is it? You are not explaining why!

Explain to me why a GM crop cannot be and should not be deemed organic if it meets all other criteria, this is the discussion that need to happen. Sick of the uneducated winging.
