The main Gold zones (East & West) of pit are locked up in hard ore, hence why they basically ignored it over the past 1000 years. In the old days you literally had to light a fire under the rock and then throw water on it crack it. Needless to say, they just stuck to the main copper ore body.
This hard rock is nothing to modern equipment. Walk in the park.
The amount of remnant gold & copper in place is colossal.
All we need to learn is what the averae grade is and from the minimal amount of drilling done in the past, it looks like that there is some collossal grade down there as well.
