Yes that’s ridiculously generous. Only time I’ve heard that sort of offer is when talking about interest being charged on a loan!

We want to make it affordable but we also don’t want to sell it too cheap to make it sound like a product that “might” do the job. It’s also harder to increase your prices as time goes on while you a cornering a market.

I could only see the benefit in a 12 month free service if it’s being heavily subsidised so we still get paid and no burden to the consumer.
