In general delisting from the ASX and listing on the Nasdaq won't have any effect on your share valuation at the time. What I mean by this is your shares will be transferred from ASX to Nasdaq via a conversion formula. Google Biota, an Australian biotech that moved from the ASX to the Nasdaq some years ago.
Anyhow, if this is true and IMO best for the company long term will have significant implications for the share price short term.
Why would Mum and dad retail investors buy stock knowing it's going to be delisted and they now have to trade in the US which they have never done before. too hard. Similarly, why would Aussie instos buy this knowing they can't hold Nasdaq stock. Where is the demand (buying ) going to come from short term? Will US investors fill the void and buy on the ASX in anticipation of a rate once it listed on the Nasdaq? Not sure.
Secondly, the company doesn't have the best track record of doing what it's says it will do. Granted some things are out of its control like approvals, but the Nasdaq IPO last year flopped. Having said that, the company is in a much better place now and a some revenue would also ensure a much higher price.
So if the ASX delisting is correct I see the share price drifting sideways to potentially lower until the terms of the Nasdaq listing are announced.
I'm not worried about the potential valuation of the company. It's just going to take more time and IMO won't be able to realise a satisfactorily return until some time after the Nasdaq listing. But I'm still confident it will come.
I too have sought comment from the company and they are getting back to me. need to wait until yacov wakes up!
A big thumbs up to the company for finally putting out a decent company presentation. Well done. There shouldn't be any issues now in regards to the business model and approvals etc.
