As we get very close to the AGM, as at 0930 AEDT on Tuesday 14 February 2023:

* a standard gauge empty grain shuttle had arrived at Nhill, Victoria so this Pacific- National-operated train may well load there today for GNC, with the golden stuff to be carried to either Portland or North Geelong. Nhill was one of its sites GNC highlighted as having record receivals from winter 2022 plantings.

* broad gauge PN empty grain train number 9153 passed through Gheringhap (near Geelong) at 0232 AEDT this morning with three locos hauling 40 hopper wagons, and has arrived atGNC's Boort, Victoria siding for loading

* standard gauge empty grainy, train no. 9321, arrived at Barellan on the Temora-Griffith line at 0538 and presumably is also being loaded today. Barellan has seen many GNC trains lately so the silo and associated storages must be slowly reducing volumes held

* 100 kilometres to the east, another empty PN-operated grain train for GNC arrived at the latter's Temora sub-terminal at 0818 AEDT

There are a couple more empty grain trains on the Moree line that haven't yet reached their destination so one can't be sure for which handler they'll load, and similarly with at least one loaded grain train in southern NSW that's between Cootamundra and Goulburn, I lack information whether for GNC. I tend to underestimate the number of loaded grain trains operating for GNC but better not to claim some are unless one can be close to certain.
