    On Sunday 19 March 2023, a Pacific National-operated grain train for GNC loaded at Speed on the Mildura line in Victoria.

    Today (Monday 20) it was Ouyen's turn, and there was also a grain train from Dimboola. Not sure if the latter was for GNC or competitor AWB-Cargills.

    In southern NSW, another grainy has been taking on the golden stff at GNC's large Temora sub-terminal. Another is sitting at remote Euabalong West on the Parkes to Broken Hill line, the most westerly silo on that important track. East of there, a third is presumably loading at GNC's Condobolin facility.

    A fourth train (empty) is galloping along between Boggabri and Narrabri on the Moree line, and is likely to be for GNC.

    There's a fifth train sitting south of Moree station: it could either be for GNC or Manildra Group.

    At remote Merrywinebone on the branch line from equally obscure Burren Junction, there's a grain train that's been loading. It's operated by Bendigo-based Southern Shorthaul Railroad using lighter branch line locomotives. SSR cart domestic grain for mills such as George Weston Foods at Enfield in Sydney, but it could be export grain, with SSR being used because in northwest NSW PN did not have any branch line locomotives within cooee.

    There may be other grain trains, especially in NSW but I omit them unless close to certain they're for GNC and not a competitor.

    Despite today's significant SP fall, GNC remains the same business it was a week ago. Weak hands are welcome to sell, but the company is busy, like a platypus (more appropriate in Oz than 'busy beaver') searching for insect larvae.
