I bought a smaller quantity today. Not only is there apparently some flooding in the major graingrowing area of mainland communist China, but there's the already mentioned dam bust in troubled Ukraine.
Narrabri, Moree and Gunnedah have enjoyed 7mm or greater rain so far today, and Walgett further west in NSW has had 9.6mm, so that's resonable, although stayer might well suggest more is needed (as long as it's not a flood).
Victorian graingrowing areas have had more than that so while we'll wait for the experts (of which I am not one) to offer a prognosis, from my less well informed citydweller perspective, things are looking reasonable (though not 'lookin' good' as sadly departed rascal Sir Leslie Colin Patterson of the Oz Cheese Board used to enthusiatically opine).
