    While we are a long way away and hence can't assess ground/soil conditions, there are various reports that parts of the USA's corn belt are or may soon be in drought.

    Apparently the USA wheat harvest wasn't nearly as badly affected, being good to excellent but if in time, USA corn yields and hence overall quantities decline, that should help GNC's graingrowers in Oz somewhat.

    There's also sketchy reporting on 'Grain Central' that mainland China may also not be experiencing the best conditions. I'd treat this claim with caution as it's far harder to assess than information from the democracy that is the USA.
