It's interesting to see 'HC' contributor and graingrower stayer's optimism for the 2023-24 season.
I take a lot of notice of what growers state, as they talk to neighbours, so they can obtain a wider picture than just re their own property.
GNC's SP is up by 3.12 per cent on Monday 26 June 2023 to A$7.61 by 1111 AEST, so to at least a minor extent 'Mr Market' may be reassessing given the pleasing rains many east coast cropping areas have been receiving.
One can't make a final call but so far, the BOM's claim of El Nino (translation: eventually parched soils) doesn't appear to match reality. Wouldn't be the first time this government agency with its very mixed forecasting record has been incorrect.
