    With good reason, Hawke, Keating and from the Coaliton, Howard and Anderson worked hard to rid Australia of tariffs and quotas. Free trade is best.

    Australia must have a freight cost advantage to many of its markets, so whether Canada and Mexico can 'compete on a few cargoes' remains to be seen. Our dollar is low compared to the C$.
