According to another GNC poster on 'HC', the last time this occurred was 1998, 1999 and 2000, so yes, it's rare.
I am a city (non)slicker so won't stick my neck out and claim whether the crop will be excellent, good, average or poor from late October 2022, but others are quite optimistic. However way too early to tell, as plenty can go wrong.
