Too much winter rainfall can be a negative for the crop. If paddocks get waterlogged it can result in reduced yield. Up around Grenfell in NSW in late June I know farmers had not sown all their intended wheat crop as it was too wet to get onto the paddocks. Other parts of NSW, some canola hectares did not get sown as it was too wet.
Not saying that is the reason for the share price dipping - just that excessive winter rain can reduce yield.
