    Interstate shipping of grain in Australia has been noted as cost-prohibitive for many years. Our bulk grain export infrastructure is geared to do just that - send it out one way into a bulk ship and overseas, not to import bulk grain. Plenty of port costs also that make importing of grain or shipping domestically unattractive. I am sure GNC won't be trying to revive a domestic maritime fleet when trucks and trains have the flexibility to shift grain across state borders to service domestic shorts.
