Watford: The payments in the Prospectus on the quarter dates are not mandatory (as it also states) - indeed, as you will recall, until yesterday it was widely expected that Gunns might suspend or delay due to current difficulties. Even so, if they wanted to stick to consistent payment dates,I'm not sure why they didn't just go XD immediately after the announcement this morning with a record date 4 days later & still pay on or shortly after 14th. There haven't been a lot of trades in the last 10 days so there won't be too much cost if they end up having to pay both parties from the backdated XD date. If I had bought in that period without an XD tag, I would certainly demand that. Just seems incompetent to me. Coming after the recent succession of "we will make an announcement by..." deadline failures (which I'd have thought would have merited a please explain from the ASX), this just raises more questions re their credibility and attitude toward shareholders.
