the benefit of the increased depth of discharge cycles... the redflow has nearly 3 x that of Li-ION... indicating they could be pushed harder... or for longer... which would ultimately reduce their whole of life costs... plus a 33% greater effective life, which would account for part of the 10000 DoD's that Redflow battery shows.
the top half of table which shows project costs... it appears to be install and product outlay costs... to which Li-ION is cheaper / Kwh
Li-ION does have a better annual RTE by 0.1%...
Standardising over effective life (3 x Li-ION vs 2 x redox)... the Li-ION is still just ahead on costs?
but DoD cycles would have to show in value surely??? (10,500 vs 20000)
