It is hard not to conclude from a range of slightly left-of-centre posts in recent days that an effort is underway to run interference here on HC in various threads. There is a tinge of attention/approval seeking to much of it too. Imo, a small number of posters are appearing or emerging from long periods of silence (or in the case of a couple of others, quite clearly flip-flopping around) to deliberately stir up drama over everything from fundraising contributions, the motives of the shareholder action group, cast doubt on legal positions, reinvent history (including, ironically, some of what they may previously have posted at the time FFX first went into halt) and making all sorts of bold predictive statements as though they are unquestionably fact, etc.

In other words, deliberately concocting some chaos and making it appear to be “from within” with the aim of introducing uncertainty and causing fatigue. It is an old but recognisable political & PR strategy used in the corporate war rooms as much as on the battlefield. Imo, it is best to just take note of it, disregard the noise & duplicity as much as possible rather than give it a ready supply of fresh oxygen, and not lose sight of the pathway out front.

In the famous words of the former chief of army Lt Gen David Morrison “the standard you walk past is the standard you accept.” My personal thanks & continuing appreciation to those driving the shareholder activism, agitating for transparency & accountability, and not merely passing it by.
