A question of analysis, however, if I may?

In order for dividend yields to be in excess of 8%ff, and PE's <10, would you be taking these at historical value, or on a prospective, forward looking, basis?

Dividend yields and PE's are convenient measures of comparison but they are flawed to the extent that they are dependent upon the continued use of historical data.

Telstra does not suddenly become sensational value as a result of its share price dropping to $3.50. On the surface, this may be so from a historical analysis perspective. But, in order for that analysis to work, the historical values would need to also hold into the future.

Just interested in your thoughts on this.
